The Big Picture

We believe the early years of a child's life are tremendously formative. The Leadership Academy provides a carefully planned and supportive environment where high achievers can develop the skills, habits, attitudes, and ideas necessary for a lifetime of leadership. Using a curriculum of Montessori-design, students will learn experientially and truly engage their world.

The Pre-Primary and Primary years (ages 2-4) are the only time families will pay tuition to attend The Leadership Academy. Beginning in Kindergarten, TLA is formatted as a tuition-free public charter school. After 6th grade, TLA students attain automatic, tuition-free admission to Cumberland Academy Middle and High Schools and will maintain a Montessori curriculum. As Cumberland Academy students, they will have the opportunity to participate in athletic, fine arts, and academic extra-curricular activities. 

The Leadership Academy is currently enrolling students ages 2 through 1st grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Older Elementary ages will be considered if previously taught at a Montessori school.
